Our Client:

Forbes Hunt is currently working with a leading European Pharmaceutical company who are looking to hire a Finance Manager - Statutory Reporting to work within their expanding finance team based in Hertfordshire. The company have international operations across Europe, have recently entered the US market and are looking to continue their rapid, sustainable growth. This growth has allowed an expansion of the accounting and finance team with the creation of this role forming part of the future planning for this ambitious operator.

Job Specification/Core Responsibilities:

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Assisting preparation of year-end statutory accounts across entire group and legal entities in EMEA and US
• Ensure all tax related, ONS and other statutory submissions are filed accurately on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis (as appropriate) across all jurisdictions
• Liaise with internal and external providers including tax and audit consultancies
• Investigating and draft technical accounting guidance in line with UK GAAP
• Lead preparation of key notes to half and full year group financial statements
• Ensure VAT is processed correctly, returns reconcile to General Ledger across all entities and follow up all reconciling items
• Assist the Financial Controller with the preparation of the consolidated accounts for the group
• Support the finance team and help train and guide junior members within the team
• Ad-hoc tasks

Key Requirements:

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
• Experience with preparation of statutory accounts in either a public practice environment or a large/medium size business
• Experience working in an international business with specific exposure to EMEA and US markets
• Strong Excel and experience working with a large ERP system would be beneficial
• Experience with corporate tax and VAT returns will be highly sought after
